Last update field for products changes without any operation

Hello everyone.

I'm facing an headache-like problem on ps 1.6.1.17...

I just edited the AdminProductsController.php to add a column indicating the last update date for each product in catalogue->products page (it helps my team to work on older products, to see when a product has been updated last time etc...), but the fancy thing is i see a lot of products updated at a certain date and time without any operation on my side (no editing, no saving, no changes, no crons...).

What else could it be? What prestashop could do periodically to change/save products?

i also checked the crons i have, there are some about indexing and for product filters on front, but they took at night, instead the products have lot of same last update dates at morning... i'm confused to be honest
