bangsters
Hi.I'm trying out prestashop, and it looks really nice. I'm coming from zencart, which is good but lacks a lot of the features I need.A couple questions though:1. I do not see authorize.net as a payment module. How can I use authorize.net or linkpoint with prestashop? Is it supported?2. I like the product packs. However, is there a way to have something similar to a pack, but the quatities of the individual items are not defined, only the total quantity. An example would be a poker chip set, where there is a total 500 chips, but the user can customize which quantity per color or denomination. The individual chips themselves are also for sale as separate items, so I'm not sure if it's gonna be an attribute or a pack. Also, the individual chips would have attrributes of their own, like 3 letter initials for the front and the back (can this type of attribute be done, 3 dropdowns for 3 initials, each dropdown has A-Z, 0-9)??3. How do I migrate my zencart installations? 4. How do I set the admin area to use USD as currency? Right now they are in euros. Same with the frontend, there is an option for 3 currencies, I only want USD since we are US based.Any feedback is much appreciated. Thanks
tomerg3
1) I have an authorize.net module on my shop.2) Not sure, I have not played with the packs too much.3) Do you mean the database content, or the theme?4) Go to Payment->Currencies in the backoffice, you can ake the default USD and remove the other ones. bangsters
Thanks for the reply. Finally displaying USD as currency. However, for the authorize.net, it's a SIM integration, not AIM, and not free. actually the cost of authorize module alone is already the cost of other carts, a bit pricey. So I guess the free cart is a bit deceiving if you need some of the basic modules that are not included with the install, albeit these same modules are pretty much available on other carts.i do like how the cart is made though, and the look and feel is good. The module on the Prestastore is SIM.The module on my store (address in my signature) is using AIM, and is priced at $75, it also connects directly to the order management, so you can automatically issue a refund. bangsters
nice!!! I didn't see that earlier! So how do I install the module? Do I buy it, download, then copy to a particular folder, a la zencart? sorry totally new to presta.also, since you do make modules, let me know if this is available in presta, or a custom module can be made.We do poker stores. The main issue we have is regarding product sets (I'm not sure if the packs feature will suffice). A good example is a poker chip set product, say 500 pieces. The customer can then choose from a number of chip denominations to fill that 500 pieces, it can be 100 $1, 200 $5, 300 $25, and so forth. And these indiviual denominations are also in the shopping cart as individual products themselves (paulson $1 chip, etc). In short they denominations or or colors are not mere attributes but subproducts themselves. And these individual products, like the chips, have attributes where you can customize with label or 4 letter initials (4 dropdowns per letter instead of 1 textbox). Can presta do something like this? I know zencart can't hence I'm trying to switch.
tomerg3
You can buy it, download it as soon as you pay, and install it directly from the backoffice.I'm not exactly sure I know what you mean in the second part. You need a way to bulk add individual products? but if each one has it's own attributes, it can be very confusing. Is there a site that does something similar so I can get a better idea? bangsters
a similar site is this:http://www.vegassuppliesandgifts.com/page/VSAG/PROD/10-1850-set/10-1850-5001s/that allows you to configure how you want the 500 piece set. total chips should be 500, not more, not less or the order will not proceed.Another is this: http://www.vegassuppliesandgifts.com/page/VSAG/CTGY/10_1850_14grams/That will allow you to customized each chip with initials. basically what we need is something that can do both, allow you to configure the pieces and quantity in the set, and to be able to customize each chip with initials on front and back. tomerg3
Would you want this to be 1 item in the cart, or have it add multiple items (one for each chip color)?
bangsters
i didn't get what you meant, but i gues multiple items per cart.btw, you think presta can handle what I need? Or one of your modules perhaps?
tomerg3
Take a look at my Attribute Wizard Pro, it will most likely need to be the case for what you need, but will most likely require some customization.I suggest adding the set as 1 item, otherwise you will have many items in the cart, and the user will be able to remove certain chips, which sounds like something you do not want to have. You can shoot me an email and we can talk about it in more details.
