Need help with translation info (Welsh)

Hi guys,

I am trying to translate my site so that it has the option in welsh. First I tried to download the language packs so that I could translate them and then up load them back to the site as a new language. The problem here is thoug is that it downlads as gzip file, I have found some software that extracts this, but then its just a php file, (how do I open this)
So then I thought about going to tools translations - modify translations, and then started to updated all the text boxes in the French part to Welsh and changed the flag icon, but this is just taking so long, if this is the best way to do it, dose any one know how I can paste in to several boxes at once.
Is there somewhere I can get the welsh file or could someone email the English files as a word doc for me to translate I can then uplad this to the site.
I have been trying to sort this all day and a gettign no where so really appricate your help.

The gzip is for adding in tools - translation - import

late, add a new language in tools - languages

And of course, upload the language file to your theme/language

the english files of the default theme are in the theme folder, in languages. simply copy this file and rename to your language iso code, and edit it
