Integrating problem searching products

I am integrating prestashop with an ERP.

The data entry was successful, but I have problems with the search, even if the article is in the database and is visible from prestashop can not find using the search, that's because I see the need for tables ps_search_word and ps_search_index are used, I see the joins in the id of the products, but do not understand how these two tables works.

Can someone explain?

How is the procedure when importing from a csv via prestashop which tables are used and how they work?
