combinations - impact on price as percentage

Hi Guys

I'm trying to get the price change due to attributes to be percentage based.

Following this article:

works (prices are updated in the cart) EXCEPT the price shown on the product still ADDS the 'impact on price' amount and does not multiply????

Any ideas?

UPDATE!!

I found that making the changes in the article above (following the hyperlink) will mess up the final price where the products are edited!

Is there a module to allow combinations to be used with a percentage change from the base price.

I am selling jewellery that comes in varying lengths and thicknesses that would really suit a percentage based system.

Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
