ardo376
I have newly installed Prestashop 1.7.1.2 in two languages When I insert new product or change existing one, then not all information will save to the database, only some or nothing. In English it's working better, but with another language I have problems constantly. At first I thought the problem may occur when I use characters like öäüõ in summary or description box. But another time those characters working well. Then I thought that this problem is only in places where I have to insert plain text. But no, it will not save e.g when I change product category or features as well. Then I thought that I can't paste text from clipboard, only when I writing it directly to text-box, but no. After I have pressed "Save" button and "Settings updated" will flash very quickly then I know that this information was not saved to DB. If this "Settings updated" appears little bit later then everything is OK. I tried with different browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Opera, IE) and with different Operating Systems (Linux, Windows), nothing. I tried to clear cache and updated everything on my Linux server. If someone have ideas what to do or what else to experiment, give me a hint? Server software version: Apache/2.4.18 (Ubuntu) PHP version: 7.0.18-0ubuntu0.16.04.1 MySQL version: 5.7.18-0ubuntu0.16.04.1 Thank You
selectshop.at
Which are the values of: max_input_time, max_execution_time and memory_limit on your server ? They should be not less than: max_input_time 300 max_execution_time 300 memory_limit 512M Furthermore, are you using some cache module like APC, xCache (BO tab "advanced Parameters -> performance -> last section"). If yes disable it. Are you using external caching like varnish on server ? If yes, this is not compatible with Prestashop. Cache is not the solution of this problem, but could bring other one, therefore I'm asking.
ardo376
I changed PHP values as You suggested, but still same behaviour. No. I don't use cache modules and last section "use cache" is disabled. Also I don't use Varnish or anything special. Just a newly installed Ubuntu, Apache, MySQL and PHP
Rail Balco
Hi i have similar problem but on 1.7.2.2 My problem: When I change product attributes and click on "save", i get pretty greenish popup element saying it's done, but after refresh or leaving to another site changes will not show. I don't have problems with fonts at all. Did you succeed in solving your issue? MY SOLUTION: After some time, we discovered that solution was auto_increment_increment=1; This must be set to 1, but hosting was set to value 2, installer notifies this and in default dont allow you to go through, so DO NOT IGNORE THIS and DO NOT follow advices on web to comment lines 81-83 in src/PrestaShopBundle/Install/Database.php this has far reaching consequences. aid-a
I have same problem, when I click SAVE, nothing saves. Where can I find auto_increment_increment=1 ? Can I solve this problem without going into coding because I have no skills for this. Thanks.

Contact your hosting/VPS provider and ask him on auto_increment_increment value and ask him to set this value to 1 if it is not. However this problem is having several different reasons... So why Prestashop isn't solving this problem if there are many people who have this problem? It consumes too much time for nothing!...

(Today I tried to upgrade to the latest 1.6.xx) but FO failed to show menu and products (everything in the FO was gone, and BO was funtioning normally), I posted this question to the forum but no answers yet so went back to the old version. I also read that 1.7 does not solve this saving problem.
selectshop.at
Did you checked min. server requirements stated on post #2. Other min requirements you will find here: https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/633856-server-requirements-tested-in-production-for-ps-16/
