Facebook SDK implementation

I'm trying to implement the Facebook sdk (http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/javascript/) into my site so that I can use the like button on product pages.

I changed the doctype in header.tpl to include

xmlns:fb="http://www.facebook.com/2008/fbml"

but now I'm confused as to where to put the javascript.

They say it's best to include it next to the closing of your body tags, but no matter what .tpl file I try to place it in, I get an error.

Hello, you can find this "</body>" tag into the file footer.tpl.
