Add Products to Non Presta Cart pages

Hi All, First post.

I've looked around a bit in the FAQ and in this forum and I must not be using the right search words because I cant fathom that this has never come up before. If someone can point me in the right direction I'll take it from there. I've been working in Wordpress for a few years now and I somewhat expected this to work a lot like that... so far it isn't, but I remember WP giving me hell for awhile when I got into it.

Onto the problem:
I've got a pretty large site with a lot of admin tools driving dynamic content and we're adding a store.

The main site is:
mysite.com

Store is
mysite.com/store

Is there a way I can pipe content/products (either a "Whats New" or "Featured Products" type module) to a non store page in the root directory?
