Now that it is up and running well, I'd like to implement the multistore feature. We have several shops running on different platforms at the moment, the point is to bring all of those into one Prestashop, so that we can handle - orders - product description - product prices -product quantities all in one Prestashop. One of my main consideration is that if I check "share the quantities for this group" it will reset all of my quantities!! We have over 10k products in our shop, not talking about the size/color/options stuff. I found here a hack: https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/465892-multi-store-how-to-turn-on-sharing-quantities-without-resetting-qty/ I can't really imagine that I have to hack the core or do overrides for such a simple (?) task... PrestaHeroes USA Posted November 3, 2016 Share Posted November 3, 2016 if you want to share 'everything', there is other option to native PrestaShop Multishop. PrestaHeroes MultiShop Pro. Native MultiShop is great, maybe some caveat like you mention, I suggest always to test on a dev copy to test behaviors and apply any hacks...before doing production roll out. But I couldn't really figure out if it would sort my sharing qty problems... And moreover, I couldn't figure out what it can better than the native multishop. A list of tings that can be done with but can't be done without would be interesting! I'd start with testing on a dev copy the native multishop. You may find other issues unrelated to stock....as for sharing on mspro module, it shares everything except key shop configuration values that you see in bo demo. Don't get me wrong, I think ps did great job on MS, the issue for me and others is that some themes/modules are not tested in MS nor is listing of ms compatibility a required yes/no. However, it is a bit older (2013), I don't know if the sql written there is still fitting the needs of a Presta 1.6... Can anyone have a look and tell me if looks ok? Yes, I can describe all sorts of problems you migiht encounter with a MS....but follow my advice, spend time to build a development copy, preferably in a subdomain, then you can easily simulate by adding another subdomain. Perhaps you could share your experience with the main problems/bugs I might encounter turning on the MS, so that I can get quicker to solutions, I'd be really thankful. creating a dev copy really only takes 30 minutes if you get all your ducks in a row. for me to list possible scenarios you may encounter would like you be a pain in the lower back and huge loss of time. What I have found is little issue where a theme and/or module is not multishop compliant, for example I create a new shop that shares everything. But when I update a menu on main, it does not propagate on other shop so I have to do twice. That is not big issue. I think this is just oversight of dev not testing multishop because it's not one of the compliant features listed on addon's for example. You may or may not run into say a menu issue described or any other issue, it really depends on your theme and 3rd party modules. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
