Where is the source code to input the facebook pixel code

I want to advertise on facebook and now they need to copy some code to the website to be able to track something. I don't come from a developer background and now i don't know which file should i look for in my cPanel.. Please helpp... experts!

Usually code like this would be placed within your header.tpl in your current theme before the closing </head> tag.

 

You can find your active theme by going to backoffice > preferences > themes. Once you know your active theme you can go to your website directory on cpanel and navigate to that theme folder in order to find the header.tpl. Do a search in the file for "</head>" and place the code just before this.
