disable products on no active main cat

Hi,

 

I may be looking the wrong places, but is it correct that it is NOT possible to make products unaccessible (eg show 404) if no active categories are attached to that product?

Lets say we have some products for easter, I simply deactive the easter category, and the products will then no longer be possible to access. As it is default the product URL still exists, so from eg. Google its possible to access the product and purchase it.

 

What im looking for could be as simple as "IF default category on product is disabled, then show 404 when accessing the product url" - or maybe more simple change the template to hide/remove the buy button.

You can achieve this feature by override productControllerCore code by overriding product controller.

Technically this will going to check for all the products that exist in store.
