Hi

I have been reading around all different forums in regards to the import of products using .csv files. What I really need to know is, is it possible to import multiple products at a time, with all needed details for the store but have these products viewable in multiple categories. The first list below is the products i want to add (a few out of 1000's) and below this is the category tree we have created. if possible could someone write an example of the format for the import file.

I am using version 1.6 1.6

Hello

You may consider import functionality of Store Manager for PrestaShop. Any of products you import via product import wizard can be assigned to multiple categories or subcategories. Since you have category tree created, you can specify category IDs in the import file and separate them by double category delimiter within one file cell. Though you can use entire path to your categories in the import file, for example Home|Spirits|Brands if you need to add product to 'Brands' (obligatory if you want to create categories during import to PrestaShop).

Here is the tutorial on this topic - https://www.prestashopmanager.com/useful-articles/prestashop-product-management/import-prestashop-products-into-multiple-categoriessubcategories/.

Sample file (with category paths) is available in this article - https://www.prestashopmanager.com/useful-articles/how-to/how-to-assign-multiple-products-to-categories/. If all the categories, you import products to, already exist at your store, you can use their IDs instead of paths.
