1..6 not recognizing customer emails for reset.

I uploaded my customer list from our old website to our new prestashop 1.6 site.  All required fields are populated, customers are all marked as 'active', addresses are there as well.  The only field that was missing was the password, which was encrypted on the old Volusion site.

 

So we send out an email advising customers their information has been transferred and just to login to change their password.   Not working.  I looked into one customer, even tried changing his password to "password", then logging in.

 

The site is not recognizing the customer emails.

 

Anybody got an idea on what the issue might be?
