keep Image size and ratio

It seems that Prestashop Images are generated in 1:1 ratio to square images. Then same image sizes are used to place them in a description text or for Manufacturer Logos . Most Logos and graphics are not square shaped and they apear in a squared image, what makes them looking not embeded in the design.

I would like that the aspect ratio of a picture in this image types (manufacturer image and text embeded images) are apearing in their original ratio. Or in a specified rectangular ratio.

 

 

Can someone help me how to fix that in a nice way?

You can change the size fo each image type at: BO > Preferences > Images

There is no option to keep the original aspect ratio, at least you create your custom code and get the path of the original image before to be regenerated in your server.
