How Important is it to have google analytics sync to your back office

Hello,

 

We have google analytics both online and module. How important is it to have the to link/sync together? Why we ask if that we get a error

 

"You need to be logged in to your PrestaShop Addons account in order to update the gapi module. Click here to log in."

 

"If you want to be able to fully use the AdminModules panel and have free modules available, you should enable the following configuration on your server 

- Enable PHP's allow_url_fopen setting"

 

We have been told by are hosting company that if we Enable PHP's allow_url_fopen  it is not save to do.

 

Is  that true and is there any other method that we can do to link/sync them together?

PrestaShop use "cURL" or "allow_url_fopen", you need enable one of these options.

 

To be honest "allow_url_fopen" is not as unsafe as most people think, the really dangerous are other kind of configurations in the php.ini like "allow_url_include" or show errors.
