Trying to move Category description text to left column on custome theme.

  I wish someone can help me please,  I tryed  to move the category description to the left column and I did it more or less ok, but, problem is  part of the left column moduls has  appeared duplicated, as I shown in the image. I copy part of the code of header.tpl  file , I know that I have to remove some code but I´m not really sure where or which one .
