lepusa
In the past we successfully customized some of the template files for Delivery Slips in the /pdf directory. However, these changes got overwritten when updating PS to 1.6.1.5. Creating new Delivery Slips worked after the update, but without our customizations. So I backed up the new v1.6.1.5 .tpl files, moved our previously modified files into the /pdf directory in their place, and then tried generating new Delivery Slips via the admin. However all I got was a blank page when clicking "Generate PDF file". I then replaced these modified files with the unmodified v1.6.1.5 .tpl files that I had backed up, but now it still gives a blank page. I even tried downloading the complete 1.6.1.5 installer and replacing the files again with fresh versions from the unzipped install package, but still no go. What is going on? We need this to work ASAP. Thanks! Edited May 6, 2016 by lepusa (see edit history)
lepusa
Hello, anyone? I just reworded the OP a bit to make it more understandable.
Bill Dalton
Have you checked the permissions on the files to see if they have correct read rights?
lepusa
Have you checked the permissions on the files to see if they have correct read rights? Good point, should have thought of that. Unfortunately the site is hosted at GoDaddy, and their handling of permissions sucks (see screen shot). I can view permissions in my FTP client, but can't make changes stick. They currently show as 666; I believe they should be 664, no? I don't know if I can SSH into the account but I will try... lepusa
Is your account Windows or Linux? https://ca.godaddy.com/help/set-permissions-2535 Linux. And I just tried changing file permissions via SSH but I can't even cd into the pdf directory, permission denied. Time to call GoDaddy...
lepusa
I successfully changed all file permissions in /pdf to 644 via SSH but the problem persists. Now I'm really stuck and this has to be done by Monday... I love slaving over this kind of stuff on the weekends... NOT! Any other ideas will be greatly appreciated... just to reiterate, all files in the /pdf directory are from a freshly unzipped download of the 1.6.1.5 installer, and I am still getting a blank page when trying to generate Delivery Slips in the admin. Ugh.
lepusa
More clues... if I choose just today for the date range, I don't get a blank page, just the standard alert that "No delivery slip was found for this period." So the issue only occurs if there are actually Delivery Slips in the database to be processed. Also, the generation of PDF Invoices works fine. So perhaps the issue is in the database and not the files in /pdf...?
Bill Dalton
Well, I can tell you that I don't use the default PDF system. I use https://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/270613-module-m4-pdf-extensions-with-online-editor/ It installs a popular open source system and has an interface that allows for easier mods and bonus it comes with some great templates that I use with no modification and look so much better than the default. roband
This is a bug that PrestaShop made in 1.6.1.5. Earlier releases are fine, just 1.6.1.5 has this bug. See https://github.com/PrestaShop/PrestaShop/pull/5411
