Hi there

Here's the plot:

I copied a live multi-shop (1.6) to my localhost to do some tests, etc.

My system is Ubuntu 15.10 with PHP 5.6.

Now I've installed the IonCube Loader without any issues and if I run

php -v

it says

PHP 5.6.11-1ubuntu3.3 (cli)
Copyright (c) 1997-2015 The PHP Group
Zend Engine v2.6.0, Copyright (c) 1998-2015 Zend Technologies
with the ionCube PHP Loader (enabled) + Intrusion Protection from ioncube24.com (unconfigured) v5.1.2, Copyright (c) 2002-2016, by ionCube Ltd.

But I still get an error on the site saying

Site error: the file /var/www/html/.../lib/ModulebazaarLicence.php requires the ionCube PHP Loader ioncube_loader_lin_5.6.so to be installed by the website operator. If you are the website operator please use the ionCube Loader Wizard to assist with installation.

What did I miss?
