No Image Available Or Question Mark After Products Import

Hi,

 

I want to import 1400 products from xml file. Everything goes fine, but product images won't appear in frontend (they appear as "Image not available" or as question mark). The weird thing is i can see them only in backend when i click on Product/Images tab. I have tried a lot of solutions that i found on google and this forum but none helped so far (regenerate thumbnails, friendly URL, deleted .htaccess file,...). I checked image types and they are all there and product images are where they should be (example: img/p/4/1/2/412-small_default)...

 

I tried with several 1.6 versions and every import is the same. I am trying to solve this for a looong time and would be very grateful if someone could take a look or give me a hint.
