Modifying Home Page of Black and White theme

Recommended Posts

I'm using the Black and White theme, which I think is great!

I've read a lot on this forum but haven't been able to find a solution.

I have the slideshow enabled, but is there a way to put static images there instead?
For example, 3 images on the home page; one will be on the left taking up the whole left area top to bottom, then 2 images to the right, one on top of another.

Each image will be linked to a particular category. I'm sure this is possible, I 'm just not sure which files to go to to edit.

Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Hi Webby,

I think you go to module>editorial>editorial.tpl to make those changes.
I'm also using the black and white theme. How are you getting your pages to link from the homepage? Like if you click on a product, does it go straight to the product page? Mines aren't linking, it's driving me nuts.

Thanks Hardyhar, I'll give it a try and see if it works.

I just started using Prestashop this week, so it's a trial and error, but I like it so far.

When I get the site done, I'll post it for all to view.

Hi everyone,

I'm running out of time!!

I'm using version 1.2.5.

This is the example page my client wants the homepage to look like: http://www.dwellstudio.com/designer-baby-boutique.

This is what is on the homepage right now; http://www.missmadisonfinelinens.com/.

I'm not absolutely sure which files need editing and how to do it.
I was told the product layout is product-list.tpl, category layout is category.tpl and editing the layout is product.tpl.

Which one would edit the homepage layout and how to I do this?

I have been trying to figure this out for a while and now I have a tight deadline.

Any help is greatly appreciated !!!!!!
