Help Needed - Front End Language Setup

Recommended Posts

I am trying to setup front page with no English, but I want English on the back end. I have set as default language in localization. Url structure should also change, since default/main language has changed, and English is set as second, it should be localhost/en and not vice versa.

If I disable localization>languages>English whole thing losses translation. Any ideas on how to make it work ?

Tried to disable and delete language, now even more strange when added back English

Menu is Lithuanian and page got translate back to English ;)

Thank you for any tips, really frustrating

Hello

I thought to set up "back office" language to be different to "front office" all you had to do was:

1. Set up languages as usual (whatever you require)

2. In back office click on (site administrator - or whatever name you have chosen on the initial download > click preferences > and then change to the language you reqire for the "back office"

Sorry if I am Barking up the wrong tree

You are correct, but then I can't remove English from the front page, if I do so, back end changes to same language as front.  That's my issue

Hello again

Then I do not know

I tried on a test site which was English Front and Back office.

I changed the back office to French and it worked.
