Change Shop Domain Name

Hello,

 

I would like to change the shop domain name from domain-old.com (which is main domain) to domain-new.com (located as an addon domain on the server).

 

What would be the easiest thing to do? I plan to do the following:

 

1. PS Backoffice >> Preferences >> SEO & URLs (change to new domain name)

2. Delete the addon domain domain-new.com in cpanel and change main domain name to the new domain name in WHM Manager to have the home/public_html folder connected with the new domain name. This avoids moving files between folders on the server.

 

Would this already work? I have some concern:

 

- what about SSL connections (https...)? Do I have to make any settings regarding SSL certificates (e.g. in Cpanel)?

 

- what about prestashop modules? I bought and installed modules from the prestashop marketplace. Before downloading and installing the modules I had to provide the shop domain name. When I change the domain name will the modules still work?

 

- what about the checkout/payment process? I use stripe and paypal module. Do I have to change the domain name anywhere? 

 

- ... other issues that could occur?

 

 

If anyone has done something similar in the past, any help would be appreciated
