Customer Contact Number Issue

After I updated from 1.4 to 1.6 I have many issues. One of them is customer contact number:

" it seems customer contact number doesn't save even though it's mandatory.
Overall, I can not see customer contact number in orders tab "

example:

Orders => select on order of customer => view : here i should see my customer information
such as address and contact number everything is all right except contact number

any idea or solution
