How To Add Cancel Button In Order History Page For Customers To Cancel Order

I have a Big issue which i think important for customer satisfaction

and that is to add a cancel button in the order history page so customer can cancel the order from their end also

 

i have met with this awesome article by author Nemo 1st want to give him some credits for the below found option:

im using the same method but for Cancel status button to update status as Nemo used Delivered status button and im using all the calling method and parameters according to Cancel button

 

But nothing seems to work for me i cannot see the button in the Order history Page and even the details button stopped working after overriding the files

 

Moreover to let u guys know im using 

 

ps version 1.6.1.2

 

Any Help Would be Greatly Appreciated
