No order after purchasing downloadable product?

Recommended Posts

I just installed the latest PrestaShop (not the beta version) and I'm testing it out. I want to sell downloadable products so I created a test product, uploaded it and set the price in the catalog area.

I then set up Paypal as the payment method. Everything looks correct on my site.

So I go to the site and add the digital product to my shopping cart. That works fine. I then went to the checkout, created a new user, and paid for my order using Paypal. Perfect.....so I thought.

When I return to the site from the Paypal screen I'm at the Order History page and it says "Here are the orders you have placed since the creation of your account. - You have not placed any orders."

Then when I got to the "My Orders" screen, it says the same thing.

Lastly, the shopping cart still has my order sitting in it like I never made the purchase.

Am I missing something in the setup of my store? Do I have to do something different when creating a downloadable product?

Thanks.

Mike

I just got this message too. Brand new 1.25 installation that's a day old. Connected to Paypal account. Made a paypal payment (using a credit card "non paypal account mode" but through paypal of course) and after it returned to the website it said “Here are the orders you have placed since the creation of your account. – You have not placed any orders.”.

Do post if you find a solution. I will certainly do the same.

So I realized that I had the IPN URL incorrect.

However, after adjusting this, it's definitely correct. Paypal shows the IPN history and shows the URL and the 200 HTTP response code, yet it still behaves the same way - nothing in the order history after returning to the website.

No idea what's wrong and I followed the instructions both on the Paypal 1.6 module and in the wiki. I can't believe this stable version has such a show stopping problem as to just throw away the IPN it obviously recieved (which I even confirmed via my w3c logs) into thin air.
