Change padding & background size of product center column

Hi guys, 

 

I am using the default theme with version 1.6.1.1 and I am trying to make some changes on the product page of this store: http://stoli-mule.poopourri-shop.ch/shop/1-2-tassen.html

 

In the end, the problem is about the view with a mobile phone because all blocks (image block and cart block) are adapting properly that there is a small border where you can see the background (brown) and not the white background of the block. Unfortunately with the center column (short description box) that's not working. I see that there are some differences within the padding of the picture because in the center column the padding part of the picture is white too and in the other columns the padding is transparent. 

 

Can anybody help me how to change that to have a nice mobile view?
