work with pictures in PS 1.6

Hello everbody.

I have PS 1.6. I have supplier with ID=23 in my PrestaShop. I upload files supplier_23.jpg and supplier_mini_23_1.jpg to folder /img/tmp through FTP. But no picture is displayed for this supplier in PrestaShop catalog of suppliers and in supplier's detail for edit. What I have to do for displaying of my files? Is any SQL insert necesarry? Or something else?

I have reason for this behavior. I need to upload files through FTP and not through functionality of PrestaShop administration.

Can any body describe me, how PS 1.6 works with pictures in img/tmp which are attached to suppliers and to goods?
