Images added via Theme configuration do not display

I have removed all pictures from the default bootstrap theme.  Now I am configuring my own webshop, but I do not succeed to display any image on the homepage.

 

I tried to hook my images on (via theme configuration) hook home, top, left, right or footer and not a single image appears on my webshop.

I see the images in the back-office.  BUT not in my frontoffice.

 

I am using prestashop 1.6.0.14 and use the default theme: default_bootstrap.

 

Is there somewhere a button I have to turn on, so the images appear?

 

ps: I have cleared the cache, I have changed my back-office language and reloaded the pictures, search in the forum, but no results yet.

 

Does somebody has some tips?

The problem seems to be google chrome.  My images appear on IE 11 but not on google chrome.

 

Somebody any ideas why the images not display in google chrome?
