musicmaster
In PS 1.6.1 Prestashop changed the table ps_product_download. New was that id_product became an unique key. This brings some potential problems when you have defined a download file and you want to change it. If you remove the old file the regular way - clicking on "delete this file" - it will work ok. However, if you switched the button "Does this product have an associated file?" back to "No" you have a big problem. After you have done this you will never again be able to add a new downloadable file to this product. Sometimes you may see an error message about a "duplicate key" but often you won't even see that. Switching this switch leaves the record in the ps_product_download table and only switches its status to inactive. There is no way to reactivate the download file or to delete it in the back office - so it will stay around obstructing any effort to add a new file. The only way to get out of this is using a tool like Phpmyadmin and deleting the record. The bug is still there in 1.6.1.
MarcoCaridad
Hi, same here, big problem, any suggestions?
El Patron
I have not had that issue but I do run into this scenario. 1. duplicate a product to make new 2. modify new with new virtual download 3. original product download is dis-associated from prod also at time randomly I do cannot even describe the 'how' but virtual products will just go missing..1.6.1.
