Creating homepage same as miniinthebox

Hi you guys,

I have a question.

Is it possible to create something like the screenshot with prestashop.

In summary is it possible to have a categorie list on the left and then next beside it a full width slider or half width slider with a banner next to it like in the picture?

 

I know prestashop works with modules but how can we edit things outside the modules.Is there a html file or css file we can edit?
