Problem with FastCGI and SegFault (I think)...

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone

I had another thread going but it got really confusing and there's too much conflicting info so please disregard.

I've got an issue where my site will not always load the page. I've seen this happen with the sitemap a couple of times but I can get it to happen every time by pressing "Show All" on the search results page if there's more than about 1500 products (try searching the word "the").

Now I will be removing the "Show All" button because that's silly for my site but before I do I wanted to fix the issue I have with pages not loading.

I don't have my experience in settings servers up but I've tried everything I came across online but nothing fixes the problem. I've upgraded the server so I had lots of RAM and CPU's but that didn't stop the problem and didn't seem to speed up the search results either (so I've lowered back to a reasonable spec server).

I've messed around with timeouts, maximum memories, have currently got APCu turned off but nothing fixes the problem.

I've tried turning on error reporting but all I managed to extract were the following:

[Thu Aug 20 14:50:00.233216 2015] [fastcgi:error] [pid 1258:tid 140367575869184] (104)Connection reset by peer: [client x.x.x.x:65201] FastCGI: comm with server "/usr/lib/cgi-bin/php5.fcgi" aborted: read failed

Can anyone please help or point me in the direction of someone that can?

Thanks

Nick
