bezsimon
Hi Sorry Im very new to prestashop - I'm trying to insert a video into the product description - the video is in mp4 format and when I try to put it into the file manager i have the message that this file extension is not recognised/accepted. What is the simplest way round this? Do i just need to save the video with a different extension? Also is there any ideal size of file that should go on there Thanks in advance for any help you can provide best wishes Simon
sean5384
Hi there, One way that I got around it was i just added it as a attachment, meaning the customer would need to download it, to be able to watch it.......there is a module that you can buy that will get videos onto products themselves, but i wasn't inclined to spend over a $100 to put videos on products themselves, so i just added them to the attachment area instead. I know this doesn't answer your question totally, but it is another option possibly.
bezsimon
Hi Thanks for the info - is that the way it is then - no way of doing it without purchasing a specific module?
sean5384
I don't think there is any other way really.........at least none that i am aware of at this time, now some of the templates that you purchase, they will have places you can put videos alot of the time using widgets.
