Free shipping on all domestic order over $50 excluding Hawaii and Alaska

Please how can i achieve this?

 

 

i want a situation where people from Hawaii and Alaska will not get free shipping, but people from other states will get when their orders are equal or over $50?

 

Please help me, am new to prestashop and using the 6.1 version.....

There are 2 ways to do it, a "messy" way, or a "module" way.

 

1) Create a new PrestaShop Zone, assign the two states to this zone and create a new carrier for them.

Make 2 price ranges 0-25 and 25-10000000

For the existing carrier, enter shipping cost for > $25 and for over, leave the shipping at 0

For the new carrier, enter a shipping cost for both ranges.

 

2) http://www.presto-changeo.com/en/shipping-modules/83-localized-shipping.html allows to enter shipping cost per country / state / zip.

You could set the shipping at 0 for the entire US, and then add a specific price just for Alaska & Hawaii

I still can't grasp all that you said.....

 

I have changed the zone as you said but i don't understand your explanation on configuring the carrier...

 

Please may you explain it for me. I am still new to prestashop

After creating the zones and assigning the two states to the zones, i am now stuck at the carrier configuration part.

 

How many carriers will i create for it, and how do i configure the ranges. I tried but end up making the carriers appear only when the order is above $50. but when it is below, t will show "no carrier found for the destination"

I suggest you read the documentation about shipping on the PrestaShop site as a starting point.
