problem importing product.csv file

Hello

I am using prestashop1.6

I have downloaded sample_products.csv file from prestashop and converted it to .xls.

After this I placed all products info there......but what to do with the columns which i dont want like Price tax excluded or Price tax included, Tax Rules ID etc.as u find in a file attached below...... is it ok if i completely delete such columns or i have to keep it blank? will prestashop give any error if i do so?

You can delete the unused columns. Only "name" is a required column. If you want to know which columns are required for a particular type of import, go to the import page for that type import and look at the "Available Fields" list. Any starred (*) names are required, all others are optional.
