Images Not Lining up

Using version 1.6.1.0

I've used 'inspect element' in my browser and can't seem to shift the images via css. What I've noticed is that the default thumbnails are controlled by 'product.css' and when you add your own images, the css file referred to in 'inspect element' is global.css.

 

You can see the thumbnails are on top of each other. How can I make them appear next to each other?
