Default Category mass change directly in database

Hello i´m trying to find the correct sentence to change the default category on a massive amount of products (near 2000)

the category CUBA (54) have many items with it´s default category at HOME and it needs to be changed to its own category from it belongs  i mean,  change them to the default category as CUBA (54) not HOME

 

any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!.

First, make a backup of ps_product, just to be safe.

 

In the example below X is the current id_category, and Y is the new id_category.

 

 

UPDATE ps_product SET id_category_default = Y WHERE id_category_default = X

I haven´t tried it yet but i never thought it could be so simple!, most of the sentences i´ve found works by joining the tables: ps_product and ps_product_shop
