How do I remove these items?

I've been going in circles for about 12 hours on this now.  

 

Can anyone please help me on where I go in the backend to delete the circled three components.

 

The phone number up the top

The large banners in the middle

and the Search function.

 

My store is just for 1 item, a single book.  And want the rest of the clutter gone.

 

Alternatively if anyone has ideas on a better free template to use then you could point me to that also.

goto BO/modules/

 

then disable the following:

quick search block

image slider for your homepage

and

contact block
