nwcltd
Hi We are currently upgrading a couple of our sites. We want to import the products into our presta shop, however when I have created the CSV files as per the instructions in the wiki I press the import button and get a blank page - any ideas. I have tried converting the files to UTF-8 and get the same resultThis is a brilliantly presented package but the time taken to upload the products manually is far too tedious. Any ideas why this may be happening?I would hate to have to discard a brilliant system for the sake of functionalitySee pic below for the result I get
Nakano
I think this happened to me once, at the very beginning. Have you tried double-checking if right after selecting your .csv file the default Column separator matches the one your csv editor picked and saved? Just to make sure, try opening the csv file in notepad or any other text editor. If the data is separated by a comma or a pipe or anything else, try correct the ";" on the import page with the corresponding separator and it should be fine.At least... that's what I did. Hope this helps.

jhnstcks
When your importing a csv with categories you need to make sure you are using category id and not the category name. You just need to edit the file in excel change the category names to the corresponding catgeory number and upload using the edited column for categories. That should fix the missing products front and back end.
Zabdiel
That is not the problem ("the missing products front and back end"). Our problem is that when we try to import a csv file, nothing happens at all. There's no next page with column selection for specifing the fields of data. We get just a blank page as seen in the first post, with no error message. Version 1.0 finalRegards

jtyana
Hello!Could everyone send a good .csv to import please?! Attached is a comma delimited csv file that works for meIt does not have all the fields in it but it is adequate for testingWhen you import it, change the Column separator to a comma ie a ,You will also need to delete the first row before you import the data. As you will see, I use the first row to identify the fields.test_product.csv

jtyana
That's strange. I tested that csv file and it worked.Yes, I am on V1.0 Final. The latest. The only other thing I can think of checking is your permissions. I don't know what that has to do with this but I have no other ideas. Sorry.I've uploaded many csv files. Have you tried doing a csv file in something like notepad. That's all I can think of to try next. Sorry.
Zabdiel
It's probably that this problem has to do with permissions, but where, in which folder? (/modules, /themes, /translations and /mails has all permission recursively, but there's something else that we have to do?) I've installed Prestashop as root. Thanks
