zezinozen
I know others have face this but could not found a proper way to do it. At least from my point of view is so logic, see this 2 original menu on hover, as expected they show the subcategories: and then I face this: how to add pictures, for example, to this useless spaces, ideally with category pictures. I think others blank spaces are ok but these ones in the menu are not. If someone can adress me to the right direction, any idea or thoughts will be very welcome. Prestashop 1.6.0.14, on localhost. Thank you.
tdarkangel4141
Are you using a Theme? If yes, check the modules positions, u shuold be able to place a personalized module in the "blank" position! Or you even can try to fix it with change the actual position of the menu, so u wont have the blank space!
zezinozen
Thank you Darkangel for replying, yes I am using default-bootstrap, sorry I fogot to mention it before. Well the first option (place a personalized module in the "blank" position) is not too bad but those spaces are automatically generated based on the categories and subcategories and are not the same in every hover action over every category, I mean they change in position and height, have a look to the pictures above, one have the "blank" to the right and the other to the left. And about the second option you suggest, I like the menu where it is, I would not like to change it because of this. Thank you again, and if you have any other idea, please share it, all of them are welcome Are you using a Theme? tdarkangel4141
What about changing the module instead? U shuold be able to place (when you dropdown a menu) something with a javascript code, with no big difficulties! the hardest part is going to be the @media queries since u' ll have to make all the right changes upon the screen size, but if you use right em or % u shuold be fine! zezinozen
Thank you again, like you said it sounds really easy, but for me it is not because I do not know how to achieve that, and of course I know there are modules on sale to do this but again I do not have the money to pay for one. I know what you are saying about the javascript events but no idea how to do it. Thanks again. What about changing the module instead? zezinozen
Thank you again for your time to reply, I know the site, stackoverflow, but I could not find replies about it, the same way I looked at free themes trying to find a way to adapt it, and I thought that I just let it go, it seems that to achieve this I need to pay about 60€, much time and money for something like a menu, of course from somebody that doesn´t know javascript. Thank you again Dark Angel. I'm pretty sure on this site you can find free what are you looking for, anyway if you don t find it just ask!
