Color Texture Attributes functionality and location

I am trying to figure out the best way to offer the customer the opportunity to choose a texture and see it before it is added to the cart. The last picture shows how the default is with thee ATTRIBUTES and Combinations. 

 

This picture shows how I am thinking is the only option that I have the colors on the left have hyperlinks that go to the product page of the color . Tell me what you think or what else you think I can do. Thanks.

I would love to be able to have more than one color with a quantity option on the same page.
