aaronjpitts
Hi, We recently moved our store to digital ocean, everything is running much faster there but our store is now not sending any emails. We have it set up to send email via SMTP (gmail) but get the following error when sending a test email : Error: Please check your configurationAuthentication failed using username 'info@***.com' and password '********' The configuration is the exact same as it was on our previous host which worked fine. Also, even if I change to 'Use PHP mail() function. Recommended; works in most cases' the email sends but is never received. What could be the problem? Running version 1.5.6.2 Thanks

aaronjpitts
Hello, Yes they support SMTP and the email works perfectly elsewhere. The configuration details are correct. It's just stopped working since moving the host. Thanks
FastComet
If you are using the same configuration on both of the hosts then this might be causing the issue in question since the hostname of the SMTP server might be different than the one you were using on the old server. Also if you are using a subdomain(mail.yourdomain.com or imap.yourdomain.com) please check if there is a DNS zone for the same on the new server and also if it is resolving properly on dig +trace / ping requests. The SMTP configuration is quite straight in the Prestashop Back Office so you should simply check if it is correct for the new host. You can also contact your new host and ask them to provide you with the SMTP settings or to entirely configure the settings for you.
