Empty email alerts - language issue

Hello,

 

I am using Prestashop 1.6.0.9 with the default theme.

The shop seems to be working alright, we did some tests and it runs without issues.

Initially it was sending notification messages with text and all the info. However, now the emails that both the admin and the customer receive when creating an account, placing an order, products in/out of stock are empty, just with the logo attached.

I read some previous posts that suggested uploading again the files in modules/mailalerts/mails and I did, but it still isn't working.

I touched a bit the language settings in the backoffice, because the installation of the webshop was done in Spanish, then I had to change the language of the shop to GB-English. I'm starting to wonder if that has something to do with the empty emails.

I checked the translations in the backoffice for the email notifications, and they are all there...
