How can I add html content between the navigation menu and the slider?

I am currently running PS version 1.6.0.9. I am trying to recreate what I mocked up in the second image below. The first image is the default demo for comparison.

 

I basically just need 2 buttons between the nav and the slider. The problem that I have is that the slider div loads above the "top" hook of themeconfigurator. Is there any way to change the arrangement of the hooks in relation to the slider? If not, is there any other way that I can achieve this?

Hi. you need a module like free html (you can find a lot in the forum). install and hook into the top section, you can move into modules, positions
