Reduction % not applying correctly in PS 1.0.0.8 Help!!!

I've taken over running PS from another company for a client of ours and I don't know much about PS - though trying to learn!

They've applied a reduction of 20% to some products - (see image 1) or visit http://www.phoenix-healthcare.co.uk/606-ez-stretch-latex-bandinglevel-2.html for an example.

In this case the original price was 31.00 + VAT, so with 20% discount it should be 24.80 + VAT and the amount with a line through should actually read 31.00 + VAT.

The price error goes all the way through the payment process and into PayPal, so the customer pays the full price BUT in PS a payment error comes up (see image 2) with a warning that they've paid 36.43 (31.00 + VAT) instead of 29.14 (24.80 + VAT)

I could alter the product.tpl to show the correct info, but the cart would still be wrong.

Not knowing how much alterations the previous people made to the install, and not being familiar with PS, I can't really upgrade which might fix the problem.

Image 3 shows how the Reduction is set up in the BO.

Anyone got any ideas how I could fix this?
