PayPal not offering credit card payment option without a PayPal account

Hello,

 

when I try to test purchase a product and pay for it in our e-shop and I click "Pay with credit card or PayPal account",the dialogue at the PayPal website does not show an option of a credit card payment without the need to create an account at the PayPal website. (i.e. I can only pay either using an existing PayPal account or to create a new one). This was working fine in the past.... I am using the latest version of Prestashop and the PayPal module is updated and compatible...I even tried and reseted it without any effect.

Any ideas?

We too have just started to have this issue on our shop after no previous history of errors & smooth update to Prestashop 1.6 some months ago.

 

Can't suggest a solution but would be interested if anyone out there has any ideas.

I'm having the same problem as well and need help! I'm not going to force my customer's to create a PayPal account just to pay.

I made several tests in the past. I think it depends on the country of the customer who will be paying via PayPal. It seems that for some countries PayPal allows the option to pay with credit card (without having a PayPal account) and for other countries it does not give that option and accepts payment only via PayPal accounts.
