newbie87
We recently installed short code mod and it was used to make extensive changes to our site PS.version 1.0.6.13 The following error message appeared after the last Prestashop modules update: "Tab : Shipping (499)A server error occurred while loading the tabs: some tabs could not be loaded. Please try again by refreshing the page.If you are still encountering this problem, please check your server logs or contact your hosting provider for assistance." Since the message appeared, I cannot access the shipping tab on our product pages. Refreshing the page does not help. I contacted the developer who said the mod was not installed (which it was) and reinstalled the short code mod. His reinstall overwrote all previous work and did not get rid of the error message. *********************************** I checked the server logs and here is the repeated error message: " 2015 01:08:49 US/Eastern] PHP Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /home1/.../public_html/cache/smarty/compile/a9/2f/32/a92f322569abf8f544fb4dbfa75a5bd2c8b128e8.file.smartproducttab.tpl.php on line 36 I did a search on the forum and the internet but could not find a similar instance. Can someone let me know what is causing this error and how to correct it so that we can access the shipping tab on our products? Thanks in advance for a reply. UPDATE: Checked directory in PS - neither 2f/32/... folder or file a92... exists. Edited March 16, 2015 by newbie87 (see edit history)
rocky
Seems there's a bug in smartproducttab.tpl. I don't have the module, so I can't test it. Perhaps look for modules/smartproducttab/smartproducttab.tpl or modules/smartproducttab/views/templates/hook/smartproducttab.tpl? From the error, there is a variable in there that is empty when it shouldn't be. Find out which one and then you can check the PHP file that passes in the variables to see why it's empty. newbie87
I was able to determine which variable was missing but, it seems to be part of only God knows which module/program recently installed. I corrected the issue by activating a backup made before the problem started. But now I cant get the site to do anything! Must be something that has to be done after one does this but I have yet to find out. Thanks for taking the time to help and lend your expertise. :-)
