After creating an account, the customers sees his account info page but that's all the info he sees. all header, navigation and footer info has disappeared. Going back to the home page or refreshing the page doesn't solve the problem. I have to erase all browser history to restore the page again. I have already removed the login link from the top menu, but people can also have this problem when checking out and creating an account. Maybe the quickest solution is to remove the account functionality completely and just let buyers buy without having the option to create an account. all advice and help is much appreciated. some screenshots are attached. many thanks Peter Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
shacker Posted March 15, 2015 Share Posted March 15, 2015 Prestashop loads the header, columns, etc with php files. That means that the problem can be from prestashop core files, or the theme have a css that hide the header and some parts of the store. shacker Posted March 15, 2015 Share Posted March 15, 2015 ok, looks like all the modules are gone in the my account or order pages. go to modules, positions, and in the footer section, edit the contact module or cms, when you edit, check if the module have an exception to dont show in some pages, if have, remove it you need to do with all modules in top and footer Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

abitee Posted March 17, 2015 Author Share Posted March 17, 2015 Hi, I have completely removed the account creation from the quick order check out page. still no luck. Now I can order without strange behavior of the header/navigation and footer being gone. But after my order confirmation I again get the page without header/navigation/footer. So it has nothing to do with the creation of the accounts. I already have copied a new tools file to prestashop, but still no luck. I think it really has got to do with the first template I installed. I have never used it but perhaps some code has left behind and messes up my current default theme. I have completely removed the theme via ftp but still i see modules (which I have disabled) in bo from "avenue-theme". It has taken me 3 months to get all products in.
