Adding more characters to subcategories name in PS 1.6

Using 1.6.0.9 Prestashop.

 

Trying to change the truncate:25 to a higher number in 1.6 for my Subcategory Name.   Every time I change it and upload category.tpl to my server, I get nothing but blank screens on my site.

 

I have changed this easily in past versions of PS. Is there some new trick for 1.6?

 

Here is my code:

I tried changing the first 25, the second one, and both with no luck.   Nothing but blank screens.

Cant actually remember if i have changed my code but it is different to yours and you can have more than 25 characters for the subcategory
