Editing Header Information

This is my first attempt with Presta but do have experience with other cart programs.  Some of the things that seem logical I cant find and one if adding and editing the items on the top and bottom header.  For instance, the theme I bought comes with a top header item called "new products" which I want to get rid of and there are others I want to add to the header.  Same with the bottom.

When you go to positions in BO you can see which modules are "hooked" and where.

You can add a module to a hook there. Open the help, when you're on that page.

You can use "live edit" on that page to easily remove modules.

I want to place my shop name jpg image across the full width of the header [version 1.6.0.14] .. can this be done

I think this depends on the template you use. You can also look at modules that may have this "top Banner"

Thanks all, I think I'm abandoning Prestacart.  I was told it's not PCI-DSS compliant and can't see any info to support that it is.
