[SOLVED] Friendly URL breaks links in the 'VIEWED PRODUCTS' block

I have php5 and Linux hosting, and have just enabled Friendly URLs and generated the .htaccess file. It all seems to work fine, apart from the links in the VIEWED PRODUCTS block.

For example, where it should link to: http://www.dura-tex.co.uk/39-rubber-mat-interlocking-anti-slip-anti-fatigue.html

it links to: http://39-rubber-mat-interlocking-anti-slip-anti-fatigue.html.

for some reason it is missing out the domain at the beginning. The links work in all other blocks except here.

Can anyone advise if this is an .htaccess file issue, or do I need to go into the Viewed Products block files and fix something?

Also, I am using prestashop version 1.1.0.5, and the BO doesn't have an option to generate the .htaccess file, I can only do it via FTP. Is this the likely cause? I haven't dared to upgrade in case it messes up the shop, though this is probably an ignorant and paranoid suspicion.

it was easy to fix by adding the root directory to the code in the blockviewed.tpl file, but no idea why it happened.
